Where do your company's files actually live?

Everyone in their own cloud. The email was set up on the owner's personal card, everybody knows the password to the shared drive, and the contracts sit on the desktop of whoever wrote them. When someone leaves, nobody remembers what stayed on their laptop.

Files and email belong to the company, not to people

Files and email are gathered in one place that belongs to the company: Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace in your name. Everyone has their own login with confirmation, and the company has one invoice instead of five personal cards.

A new hire gets email, files and the rights for their role within an hour. On their last day access is closed, and the email and files stay with the company. We can see at all times how many seats are occupied and what you are paying for in vain.

No office server is needed for this: a laptop and an internet connection are enough.

Questions

How is this different from looking after the computers?

Here we answer for the cloud: accounts, email, files and access. The laptop itself remains the employee's concern. If you want us to answer for the laptops, the updates and the antivirus as well, that is a different service — employee computers looked after.

Our licences were bought on the owner's personal card. What happens to them?

We move them into the company's name and bring them onto one invoice. The licence goes at the supplier's price, $0.00 markup — you pay exactly what you were paying. Surplus seats being paid for people who left are removed in the first month.

What if our staff work on their own laptops?

That is how they work. A seat is counted per person, not per machine: they have their own login, their own rights and the company's email. The work files sit with the company, not on a personal laptop.

We have decided to start. What happens in the first week?

First we look at what already exists: the company account, the user accounts, the licences, the shared drives. Then we take over access, close abandoned accounts and hand out rights by role. None of this stops the company working.
