Email migration and changing provider
Mail, calendars and contacts — in their new home.
$85 per migrated mailbox · $65 per mailbox from fifty up.
Who answers for your email if the move goes wrong?
Usually whoever agreed to try it over the weekend. Half the mailboxes moved, the other half lost their folders, calendars never came across, and mail goes to the old server one minute and the new one the next. By Monday the company is not working, and there is nothing left to roll back.
A move with no lost messages
Your people work as usual while the move runs. First we copy everything that has piled up: messages, folders, calendars, contacts, shared mailboxes and rules. Then we switch delivery — in the evening or at the weekend, whenever you say.
We prepare the domain records in advance and change them ourselves: mail must not run in two directions for a day while the addressing updates. The old mailbox stays available until you say it can be closed.
On Monday morning your people open their mail and find their messages exactly where they were yesterday.

Questions
How long will the company be unable to work?
Not at all. The copy runs while people keep working in the old place, and switching delivery takes minutes and happens in the evening or at the weekend — whenever you say. Messages that arrive during the copy are caught up afterwards.
Will the old mail stay? All the years of it?
It stays. We move what is in the mailbox, folders and dates included — not just the last few months. And the old mailbox is not closed straight away: it stays available until you tell us the messages are all there.
We run our own mail server in the office. Is that harder?
Dearer, no: the price is still counted per mailbox. Longer, yes: we have to take off the rules, the shared mailboxes and everything that has grown around the server over the years, and carry it to the new place. That is exactly what the audit and the plan are for when there are many mailboxes.
Who pays for the new provider's licences?
You do, and you pay them directly. We add no mark-up to their invoice — it is printed as a number on ours. Some providers give the first year free when you leave a competitor: we tell you that before the work starts, not after.
Tell us how many mailboxes you have and where you are moving from — we will send a quote by email and call you if that is easier.
We have your request
We answer during the hours listed in the contacts at the foot of the page. The quote and the conversation come first — nothing is signed and nothing is charged.
