# Adobe and Autodesk subscriptions

Who needs what, what you pay for and why it costs that.

**$2,570 for the audit and re-issue · $1,120 per month to manage it.**

## How many Adobe and Autodesk seats are you actually paying for?

Usually nobody knows. The subscriptions were set up one at a time, on different mailboxes and different cards. Some seats belong to people who left long ago, some to a project that closed in the spring. Who uses what is known only to the designers themselves.

## Every seat belongs to someone who works here

You get a list: who is set up, who has which programme, who used it in the last three months and who never did. We pull it all into one contract and one console, and move the leavers' seats to people who work here now.

After that we run the subscriptions: onboarding and offboarding, moving a seat between people, renewing on time and going through the invoice once a month. Revit tweaks and shared model standards are handled by the same person who runs the licences.

Training is covered separately: a private class on your own task and your own files, not a general course about where each button is.

### Why is the price of the subscriptions themselves not printed here?

Because it is not ours and it moves. The contract with Adobe and Autodesk stays yours, the invoice comes to you, and there is no markup on it. Our line is for the work, and it does not depend on the plan you end up on.

### There are five of us, two of them on Autodesk. Isn't that too small?

No. It is small teams that most often have seats on personal mailboxes and cards — and that is where a transfer pays off in one pass. The audit price does not depend on the number of seats; the work is priced by the inventory.

### A seat is tied to someone who has left. Is it lost?

No, if the contract is a corporate one: the seat moves to another member of staff, and files and settings move with it. It is harder where the subscription was bought on a personal mailbox — those seats we first bring into the company contract.

### Is the training a recording or a live person?

Live, and on your files. The private class day is built around the task: what breaks most often in your models, where time is lost, which standards you need. A recorded course is made separately, if newcomers need one.
